Notice to Residents From the Town Assessor

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS:

The Seabrook Assessor’s has individuals from Vision Government Solutions out around town doing some remeasure work for the next few months.  They have a letter from the Assessor stating such.  The purpose of these visits is to recheck our records for accuracy.  We do approximately 10% of the properties per year so that the entire town can be completed by year 10 or 11.  Please allow them, at a minimum, to take a new picture and measure any structures on the property.  It would also be great if you could answer any questions they have.  They will ask to see the interior but that is not a requirement.  It is helpful but not required.

Sincerely,

Angela Silva, Assessor

Seabrook Mosquito Control Program 2020

PUBLIC NOTICE
TOWN OF SEABROOK
Mosquito Control

The Mosquito Control program begins the week of April 13, 2020 in the Town of Seabrook.
Crews from Dragon Mosquito Control, Inc. will be checking swamps, salt marshes, woodland
pools, ditches, storm drains and other shallow, stagnant water for mosquito larvae. When
mosquitoes are found, the following insecticides may be used:

VectoBac (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis 2.8%)
Natular (spinosad 2.5%)
Fourstar MBG (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis 3.0% & Bacillus sphaericus 3.0%)
VectoMax FG (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis 4.5% & Bacillus sphaericus 2.7%)
CocoBear MLO (mineral oil 10.0%)
BVA 2 Mosquito Larvicide Oil (mineral oil 97.0%)

Control of adult mosquitoes may occur at the Seabrook Schools in preparation for Old Home
Day.

It is not possible to predict if emergency spraying for Eastern Equine Encephalitis, Jamestown
Canyon Virus or West Nile Virus will be necessary. The spray schedule is based upon mosquito
surveillance data, disease test results and weather conditions. Disease activity occurs later in the
summer. A decision to conduct emergency spraying would be made in consultation with
Seabrook Town Officials. Further communication will be given if this action is required.

Residents who do not want their wetlands treated may use our No-Spray Registry online
at www.dragonmosquito.com/no-spray-registry or write to Dragon Mosquito Control, Inc., P.O.
Box 46, Stratham, NH 03885. Be sure to include your name, physical address, phone number,
the color of your house and acreage or road frontage. Residents may call 734-4144 or
email [email protected] for further information regarding dates, times, locations,
insecticides, precautions, and other concerns.

COVID-19/coronavirus Seabrook PD UPDATE

Over the past week we have continued to monitor the spread of COVID-19/coronavirus and recommended precautionary measures to avoid potential exposures to our staff.  Starting March 12th we began:

  • Limiting our face-to-face interactions with the public, when possible.
  • Not fingerprinting for non-criminal matters.
  • Not responding to VIN checks.
  • Utilizing the telephone as a primary method of taking reports
The practice “social distancing” by our employees.

As the virus continues to spread and we attempt to maintain a healthy police force for the continuation of services we are implementing the following additional measures effective immediately:

  • The Seabrook PD is now closed to any non-law enforcement personnel.
  • Civilian vendors’ access will be limited and at the discretion of the Chief of Police or his designee.
  • While greatly appreciated, food donations, cards, etc will not be accepted.
  • We are continuing the temporary change not to accept walk-ins unless an emergency exists.

If you have an emergency call the police department at 603-474-5200 or dial 911.

For non-emergencies please call the police department at 603-474-5200 rather than walk in.  Non-emergency matters may be reported over the phone and an officer will be assigned to follow-up with you.  This applies to a variety of less serious offenses that ARE NOT IN PROGRESS.

OFFICERS WILL ALWAYS RESPOND TO CRIMES OF VIOLENCE AND CRIMES AGAINST A PERSON.

We are still patrolling the streets of Seabrook, as you would expect.  The only thing we are temporarily changing is the manner in which we provide our services not the quality of the services we provide.
